Playtime and cheekrubs and raisins, oh my! By way of introduction, I am a big, beautiful Californian with lots of energy, curiosity, and a talent for climbing up on top of just about anything. I would prefer an experienced owner for this reason: the first few days in my new home I will be scared, shy, unsure, and probably not very friendly. Any new change and Ill stomp my foot, grunt, and run. But be patient with me! I WILL warm up to you, because I social, curious, adaptable, playful, and LOVE face-rubs. PERSONALITY, TOYS, LUV: My foster mom thinks of me as an active toddler turn around, and Ill disappear! I love to explore, dig in blankets, burrow into pillows, and climb onto boxes, baskets, or pretty much anything I can get my front paws up onto. Cardboard boxes, sticks, and pieces of hay are some of my favorite toys. See if I like anything else! I will surely check it out. Cheek and head-rubs are my favorite thing in the world; Ill sit or lay right next to you for long periods, so long as those magical fingers dont stop! Litterbox habits are great. If Im out too long, I may drop a couple poops in a corner, but otherwise my home is very clean. I even prefer one corner of my litter box for easy clean-up. HANDLING: Being picked up scares me quite a bit, but once Im in your lap with cheekrubs or head-pets I will become quite mellow. I even let a total stranger pick me up & pet me; I stayed in her lap for almost 30 minutes without moving a muscle! Pretty proud of myself for that. ? RESPONSE TO PPL, NOISES, OTHER ANIMALS, ETC: I am still fairly young (about 1 year) and many things still surprise me including loud noises. As far as I remember, I have no prior experience with larger animals or children, but I am good around other rabbits. My foster mom will leave the window open or music on during the daytime to help desensitize me to various stimuli; seems to be helping! SPECIAL NEEDS: consistent discipline during playtime/freetime. IDEAL HOME: An experienced owner will be a better fit for me. I have amazing potential but seem to lack some manners. Lots of social interaction, floor-time, training, and cheekrubs are the windows into my heart. A quiet home is what I am currently accustomed to. CURRENT TRAINING ITEMS: This is ultimately what helps me to bond with you! My foster mom is presently training me to wait patiently for food and receive luv, pets, rubs, and grooming before breakfast. I am also working on sitting up to peck you on the lips with the word kisses, and responding to the word No when I forget my manners (dig in a corner, chew on a basket, or play with dangerous items like plastic bags). Be firm and consistent; I am very intelligent but need outlets for my energy! Tell me good girl with a kiss on the head, and Ill respond by sitting still and asking for more! ? If I accidently nip your fingers while taking a raisin, Im sorry! I get VERY excited around food. Be patient with me and I WILL bond with you!
